Where to start? When I first read Compulsion I was in love. It was one of my first true five star books for review. So I was very excited when Kymberlee Burks-Miller posted that she was coming out with novella series books based on the Moon clan. It allowed me to continue on with the Moon family addiction. Luckily for me, Haunted Moon did not disappoint.

Book Synopsis:
A House of Cards…
When you build an entire life on a foundation of lies, it only takes one truth for the whole thing to come crashing down. I never invited the truth in. I never went searching for it. I never had any reason to suspect that the two people I loved most were dishonest with me every second of every day.
I made one bad decision, and in a single day my entire world changed. If I’m ever going to discover the truth about myself and my parents, I have to trace all the lies back to their source. I have to try to find the truth that they’re hiding.
The more I discover about myself, and my past, the more I realize that lies really are better than the truth. But now that I know the lies are all around me, I can’t stop until I’ve discovered them all. I’ll pull each lie away, one by one, and examine it to see what’s underneath…until this house of cards crumbles into dust at my feet.
I just hope I can survive the crash.

Drusilla Blood (The Blood Trilogy) by Miriam Cooke
As an American I love reading a book with an English "voice". It's so quaint and quirky. That automatically made me enjoy Drusilla Blood. The other fantastic part was how well researched the story line was. A lot of the history appears to be very well researched by the author. A big positive in my book. And of course, there's the paranormal side!
The book is the story of two primary characters, Drusilla or Drue as she's called, and Edith. The author is able to have two main characters, including their thoughts, by jumping back and forth to the past, which is Edith, and Drue in the present. When Edith has a seance that goes terribly wrong, it opens the gates to something bad... something that carries all the way into present day and effects Drue.

Book Synopsis:
The Duck And The Doe is the tale of two immortal beings whose eternal love has soured a bit in the last two centuries. Written as memoir by the "hero," this novella is a musing on both what love is and how much America has changed since the early 19th century. The first volume deals with both the supernatural and the racism of the old American south. Told with humor and passion (and the occasional rant) the story of these strong characters, including a wealthy young lawyer (the titular duck) and a clever courtesan (Ma Bichette, French for My Little Doe) , will change your idea of what "love forever'' really means.

Limelight: Elizabeth Kirke and Character Interview
Mariana, one of the many characters in More than Magic, Semester Abroad, has stopped by to give us some info on the book and answer some in depth mermaid questions! Read on to find out a little more and, as always, the links are at the bottom to follow... and buy :)
Synopsis: Jen is looking forward to spending an entire summer studying abroad on a cruise ship and she knows the experience will change her life. Then she sees something she wasn't supposed to see, something she can't explain. Jen finds herself thrust into a world she never knew existed and her life will change more than she imagined. That is, if she can survive the dangers lurking on the ship.
Bio: Elizabeth Kirke wanted to be an author before she even knew what an author was. She used to say that she wanted to be an artist, but that was only because she was too young to write and had to tell stories with pictures instead. She hasn't stopped writing since she learned how. It wasn't long before she dreamed of becoming an author and couldn't be happier now that that dream is a reality.
If she isn't writing...well, let's be honest; if she isn't writing she's probably on Facebook thinking that she should start writing. But, if she isn't writing or on Facebook, she's probably doing something involving books, baking, gardening, or yarn.
